FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU swimming and diving alumni Edgar Crespo recently competed in the Federation Internationale de Natation (FINA) Swimming World Cup in Dubai and Qatar. A native of Panama, Crespo swam in the 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke in both events, qualifying for three event finals.
At Qatar, Crespo finished ninth overall in the 50m heats with a 27.83. He finished sixth in the final with a 27.65. Crespo also competed in the 100m heats, finishing 11th overall with a 1:00.98.
At Dubai, Crespo finished seventh in the 50m final with a 27.78 after qualifying with the fourth-fastest time out of the heats. He also earned the final qualifying spot in the 100m with a 1:00.84 and finished seventh in the event final with a 1:00.82.
